Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 4 hours-overnight chilling time in the fridge
Serves: 2
Ingredients
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ teaspoon instant coffee powder
½ cup of Nutella
Directions
1. In a medium bowl, combine the cream and instant coffee powder until well dissolved.
2. Pour the cream and coffee mixture over the Nutella and beat it with an electric mixer on a low setting until you get high, stiff peaks (be careful not to overbeat the cream, or you'll be churning it into butter).
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
Optional: To serve as a mousse, take a plastic freezer bag, fill it with the mousse and cut a corner of it. That way, it'll be easier to serve it in a cup or Martini glass in a pretty way.
TIP: If you're going to serve it as a "mousse," finish it with your favorite toppings: from berries to crushed walnuts or hazelnuts, only the sky or your imagination are the limits.
TIP #2: You can also use the mousse in between cake layers or to top cookies, cupcakes, brownies...
